We have a number of different areas within the pub building for your use and bookings.

The old black smiths room which was our main restaurant for many years, is in the oldest part of the building. It features natural stone walls, beamed ceilings and a roaring log fire. Although not its sole purpose, this room can be booked for private dining parties of up to 20 guests, subject to availability.

Blacksmiths room

The main bar will always be a welcome sight for our visitors, with cosy traditional pub seating, beamed ceilings, and an oak floored snug room complete with old church pews. It is the heart of our pub, and a great place to meet friends for a drink, snack and chat. And if you happen to be out on your own, or with the dog!, (only during the day time please as some people can get rather stuffy about it in the evenings...) pop in anyway. You'll always receive a warm welcome from all of us!

The main restaurant has been designed to mirror the characteristics of the old building as much as possible. With cosy beamed ceilings, traditional Autumnal colours, leather seats and a log burning stove. Why not get yourself settled in, with a view of Grampa Jacks beautiful gardens, or during the summer perhaps you'd prefer to spill out through the french windows and eat al fresco on the patio. The choice is yours.

Blacksmiths room

The function room is a place to behold, with vaulted ceilings, its own dedicated bar, a dance floor and access straight into the gardens. It can accommodate up to 200 people, although we recommend parties of around 120 for the sake of a little extra comfort! It can be booked for functions and and endless menu of hot and cold buffets can be provided. Please call us and we'll be only to happy to help you.
